Sweep for Android · Epsilon Developers

These terms are an agreement between you and Epsilon Developers, the publisher of Sweep. By installing or using the app you accept them, together with the privacy policy. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.
Sweep uses ordinary phone sensors — the magnetometer, the camera, the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth radios — to look for signs of a hidden camera in the room you are in. Everything it reports is a place worth inspecting with your own eyes.
Sweep is not professional counter-surveillance equipment and is not a substitute for it. It cannot detect a camera that is switched off, one that records to a memory card without transmitting, one hidden behind a material its sensors cannot see through, or one on a network your phone has not joined.
A result from Sweep is not evidence, not a legal finding, and not advice. You are responsible for what you do about it.
Sweep is not an emergency service. If you feel unsafe, or believe you are being recorded unlawfully, contact the local police.
You must be at least 13 to use Sweep. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent or guardian’s permission to buy Pro.
You agree to use Sweep only in places you are entitled to be, and only to check for devices that may be recording you or people in your care.
Do not use it to interfere with lawful security systems, to gain access to networks or devices that are not yours, or to harass, surveil or intimidate anyone. Scanning a network you do not have permission to be on may itself be unlawful where you are.
Do not damage property that is not yours to look inside it. If a find needs a closer look, ask the owner, the host or the police.
Epsilon Developers gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Sweep on Android devices you own or control, for as long as you keep to these terms and to Google Play’s terms of service.
You may not copy, sell or redistribute the app, or modify or reverse-engineer it except where the law allows you to.
Sweep, its name, icon, design and code belong to Epsilon Developers. Open-source components are used under their own licences, listed in Settings under Open source licences.
Sweep is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind, including any warranty of accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose. Sensor behaviour differs between phone models, and some phones cannot perform some checks at all.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Epsilon Developers is not liable for any loss, injury or damage arising from use of the app or from reliance on any result it gives — including a camera it did not find. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for Pro, if anything.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, and nothing in them takes away the rights you have as a consumer where you live.
Pro is a one-time, non-consumable purchase sold through Google Play. The price shown in the app is the one your store account reports, in your own currency.
Pro belongs to the Google account that bought it, and can be restored on another phone signed in to that account from the Pro screen. If a purchase is refunded or reversed, Pro is removed.
Refunds are handled under Google Play’s refund policy. We can help with a purchase that did not unlock, but we cannot issue a refund ourselves.
Free features listed as free stay free. Every detection check is a free feature.
Some features can be unlocked for a limited time by choosing to watch an advertisement. An unlock lasts for the time stated in the offer, is kept on this phone only, and ends early if the app’s storage is cleared or the app is removed.
Unlocks have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and can only be earned when an advertisement is available to show.
The free version shows advertising, which is what pays for it. Advertisements never appear while a check is running, on a screen reporting a find, or on the camera screens. We do not control the content of network advertisements; report a problem one to contact@epsilondevelopers.xyz and we will pass it on.
Google Play, its billing system and Google AdMob are provided by Google under its own terms and policies, and we are not responsible for them.
We may update Sweep, change or remove features, or stop offering it. These terms may change with a new release, and the date above will change with them. Continuing to use Sweep after an update means the new version applies.
You can stop using Sweep at any time by removing it. If you break these terms, your licence to use it ends.
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India decide any dispute about them. If you use Sweep as a consumer in another country, you keep the protection of that country’s mandatory laws and may also bring a claim in its courts.
If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later. These terms and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Sweep.
